Welcome to Baskin Farm

Welcome to Baskin Farm, St. Louis County’s full-service equestrian facility.two_horses
Owned and operated by nationally-recognized Susan Baginski, Baskin Farm is a top-caliber facility, complete with large indoor and outdoor rings, all the amenities for first-class boarding, and an experienced and dedicated professional staff of trainers. We actively participate in all of the large, national-level A shows featuring Hunter/Jumper divisions.

Baskin Farm is also an excellent place for novice and intermediate riders, with an extensive lesson program focusing on safety and horsemanship. The program features many school horses, private and group instruction, a Working Student program, and frequent participation in local shows.

Baskin Farm provides addition services for the equestrian community, including offering horses both for sale and for lease and coaching the Washington University in St. Louis Equestrian Team.

Our grounds are welcoming to those who love horses, as the five different outdoor turnout paddocks and the four large school horse pastures are spread throughout our 18 acres and are frequently occupied by many horses.

Outdoor Ring

Our large (150' by 300') outdoor ring is surrounded by woods and maintained by an automatic sprinkler system. Although Baskin Farm is close to the city, the barn setting is wooded and has a rural feel.

The Barn

Feed

Horses are fed twice daily, depending on their dietary needs.

Tackroom

Our heated/air-conditioned tackroom is large enough to allow each owner to store his/her own bridle and saddle rack. You can store your tack trunks either in the aisle near the stall assigned to your horse or in the tackroom, depending on space and convenience.

Blankets

In the winter, our staff ensures that horses are kept at a comfortable and safe temperature. We put multiple blankets on horses (more if they are clipped, of course) and regulate the number worn as temperature fluctuates.

Turnout

Horses are turned out daily in one of our 5 large outdoor turnout paddocks. We often match one horse with another horse (or pony) so that the horses can play together, while maintaining watch for their safety.

Training

Our well-qualified training staff with many years of experience, assures that you and your horse will perform at your best.

On-Site Staff

In addition to owner Susan Baginski, other staff live on the premises, providing peace of mind of always having someone around to watch out for the safety of the horses and to respond to any emergency

Fly Control

Our automatic fly spray dispenser system reduces the amount of pesky flies in those hot summer months.
